BIOGEO Team
In 2020, the BIOGEO team was initiated at the Laboratoire des sciences du climat & de l'environnment (LSCE) splitting off from the growing MOSAIC team. Both teams remain highly interwoven by several cross-cutting activities, e.g. developing and maintaining the land surface model ORCHIDEE.
Mission: The BIOGEO team lead by Daniel Goll brings together scientists at various career stages studying the interplay of biotic (from microbes to humans) and abiotic processes governing matter exchanges along the soil plant atmosphere continuum. We aim to improve our understanding of the evolution of biogeochemical cycles in the anthropocene by combining data-driven and process-based modeling and observation-based data on various scales.
The team of ~ 30 members is working on four themes: land surface modelling, remote sensing of biomass, remote sensing of fluxes, and anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions.
We discontinued our monthly online seminar series.
